Super Bowl 2027: Four artists linked to Jay-Z halftime performance

Jay-Z has confirmed he will perform at the Super Bowl halftime show on February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium. The rapper will appear in his capacity as a partner with the NFL through his company, Roc Nation, which has produced the halftime presentation since 2019. While the football participants will not be known until late January, the entertainment lineup is already generating early speculation.

Beyoncé is the most frequently mentioned potential guest. The couple married in 2018 and share three children. They have collaborated on numerous tracks, including “Crazy in Love” and “Drunk in Love,” and have toured together. Beyoncé has performed on NFL stages multiple times, including headlining the 2016 halftime show and singing the national anthem at Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2001.

Rihanna is another strong candidate given her professional history with Jay-Z. He discovered her in 2005 when she was CEO of Def Jam Records, and she later signed with Roc Nation in 2010. Their musical collaborations include “Umbrella” and “Run This Town.” Rihanna made a surprise appearance at Jay-Z’s tour at Yankee Stadium earlier this year. She also headlined the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show.

The list includes Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s oldest child, Blu Ivy Carter. She performed as a dancer during her mother’s Christmas Day 2024 halftime performance in Houston and joined her on the “Cowboy Carter” tour. Carter has a dedicated fan base and often attends NFL games with her father. Her presence would mark a notable family appearance on the national stage.

Eminem rounds out the group of artists frequently discussed. He joined Jay-Z on stage during his current tour. The two previously collaborated on the track “Renegade” from Jay-Z’s album “The Blueprint.” Eminem has experience performing at the Super Bowl, appearing as a special guest in the 2022 halftime show.

Jay-Z serves as a key decision-maker for the guest list. He has not yet announced any specific collaborators for the 2027 event. The NFL and Roc Nation will confirm the full lineup as the date approaches.

The Super Bowl 2027 game is scheduled for February 14, 2027. SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, will host the event. The identity of the two competing football teams will be determined by the end of the January 2027 postseason.
